Seller Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026 · Version seller-policy-v1
This is the confirmation every seller makes in the Worknest app before opening a shop to the public. It is shown as “Before you open”, and publishing records that you agreed to it together with the Seller Terms and the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
What you confirm
By opening your shop you confirm you're the seller, hold any permits your state requires, and are responsible for safe preparation and accurate ingredient info.
What each part means
- You’re the seller. You sell directly to your customers. You are the merchant of record: the payment for an order is made to your own Stripe account, and your business name is what appears on your customer’s card statement. Worknest provides the software and facilitates the payment.
- You hold any permits your state requires. Licences, registrations, food-handler cards, cottage-food or home-kitchen permits — whatever applies where you cook and where you hand over. Worknest does not inspect, certify or verify any of it.
- You are responsible for safe preparation and accurate ingredient info. Safe preparation, storage, handling and handoff; accurate ingredients and allergens. A customer’s order note does not guarantee an allergen-free product or prevent cross-contact.
Where the details are
The full agreement is in the Seller Terms — fees and payouts, refunds and cancellations, prohibited items, suspension and termination, and the disclaimers. This page exists because the sentence above is the one you actually agree to in the app, and you should be able to read it outside the app at any time.
When it changes
If this policy changes materially we update its version. The updated policy applies the next time you publish your storefront, and the app asks you to agree again before it publishes.
